Deimos Imaging

UrtheCast Corp., its subsidiary Deimos Imaging and Telespazio UK's strategic partnership offers a unique combination of joint optical and radar sensors with ground stations.

The collaboration will allow observation of the Earth day and night, regardless of weather conditions, and is intended to provide a constant asset monitoring service resulting from the specific characteristics of the COSMO-SkyMed SAR constellation and the Deimos-1 and Deimos-2 optical multispectral sensors. This collaboration is expected to create a unique and valuable benefit for users in a diverse group of sectors including emergency services, oil and gas and disaster monitoring.

Deimos Imaging is a contributor to the European Commission’s Copernicus Emergency Management Service together with the COSMO-SkyMed Constellation, and it is nowadays one of the leading sources of high-resolution data worldwide.

Deimos-1

Deimos-1

DEIMOS-1 has been specifically designed to assure very-high-frequency revisit on large areas, featuring a uniquely wide swath of 650 km, allowing very large areas to be covered in a very short time (every 3 days on average for any mid-latitude region).

Deimos-2

DEIMOS-2 provides 75 cm pan-sharpened imagery and 3 metre multi-spectral images. Its multi-spectral capability includes 4 channels (red, green, blue, NIR), plus the panchromatic band.
