Telespazio UK played an important role in Europe’s satellite navigation Galileo Programme in its Mission Segment. Our role was to develop a configurable software-based Assembly, Integration and Verification platform to allow integration of real and simulated ground segment sub-systems. This allowed full validation of each sub-system one-by-one, and the gradual build-up of the system until the full Galileo ground system was deployed and accepted. This approach was absolutely vital in minimising critical path dependencies in a hugely complex multi-billion EURO programme. Our approach was a winning solution in an open competition to reduce programme risk.
