To mark Earth Day 2023, we are pleased to share our commitment to reducing carbon footprint from travel by:
- Reducing the amount of project travel by prioritising digital meetings
- Reducing travel as part of employees’ commutes, through our flexible working policy
- Increased expansion of electric vehicle charging points
- Ensuring lower carbon transport alternatives are selected where possible, e.g. rail instead of air
- Implementing carbon offsetting for flights that can’t be avoided
Earth Day is an annual event aiming to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held in 1970, Earth Day now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. With over 1 billion people taking part from more than 192 countries, it’s one of the biggest environmental days going.
