Dr Yeqiu (Qiu) Ying has been promoted to a newly created role of Head of Innovation and Technology Governance at Telespazio UK (TPZ UK).
Working as part of the company’s senior management team and reporting to Telespazio UK CEO, Mark Hewer, Qiu is keen to adapt his successful experience for heading the Navigation business unit to drive innovation across the business units in TPZ UK.
In his new role, Qiu will support the growth of TPZ UK’s business units by aligning UK business strategy and customer needs with products, technologies and capabilities. The role will drive a strong technological and product cooperation with the wider Telespazio Group in order to identify and develop the right group capabilities and offerings that fit the UK market and specific sales opportunities.
Qiu will have responsibility for TPZ UK’s Intellectual Property (IP), Research and Development (R&D) and product investments to ensure innovation, technology and product developments have strong market-driven business justifications. A strong external market and customer focus is a key part of his role in order to support business development and the creation of market offerings covering products, services and enterprise solutions.
Qiu has more than 15 years of experience working in the space and telecommunication sectors, specialising in wireless communications and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
